OPPO Watch 4 Pro key features officially confirmed, launch imminent

OPPO has started teasing the arrival of the Watch 4 Pro smartwatch in China. Today, the brand released five posters to confirm the key features of the Watch 4 Pro. With some of its key details officially confirmed, it appears that the smartwatch will debut in China by the end of this month.

Recent posters have confirmed that the Oppo Watch 4 Pro will come with dual chipsets, including the Snapdragon W5 chip and the BES 2700. The latter might be primarily utilized for a low-power mode, whereas the former will be mainly for regular performance. This smartwatch stands out with an LTPO always-on display that remains active even when the wrist is down thanks to Always-On Display (AOD) feature. Unlike its counterparts, the Watch 4 Pro offers a full-color always-on display, departing from the usual black and white AOD.

The Watch 4 Pro commits to delivering precise health tracking data through its high-precision sensors lineup. This encompasses an 8-channel heart rate sensor, a 16-channel blood oxygen sensor, a wrist temperature sensor, and an ECG sensor.

Bringing a smartphone-like experience, the Watch 4 Pro arrives with 85+ standalone preinstalled applications. Moreover, it incorporates 2 GB of operational memory, ensuring a rapid 4.2GB/s data transfer rate. Noteworthy enhancements include a screen response time reduction from 922ms to 770ms, the heart rate app launch has been reduced from 572ms to 246ms, and the sports app’s startup time decreased from 594ms to 207ms.

Previous reports revealed that the Watch 4 Pro will house a 570mAh battery. In terms of design, it will sport a 316 stainless-steel frame and a ceramic base. The anticipation is that it will also feature eSIM support. According to reports, OPPO will unveil the OPPO Find N3 Flip foldable phone on Aug. 29 in China. The Watch 4 Pro may also debut at the same event.
