OPPO has been teasing its upcoming OPPO Watch smartwatch since some time. It will go official tomorrow alongside the OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro smartphones. While the OPPO Watch has been spotted in couple of renders in the recent weeks, its specifications have remained under the wraps. A Chinese tipster has today shared the key details of the OPPO Watch.
According to the tipster, the OPPO Watch will be powered by Snapdragon Wear 2500 chipset as well as Apollo3 microprocessor. The device will be equipped with a curved 1.19-inch display, a heart rate monitor and electrocardiogram (ECG) sensor. Also, it will be a 5ATM water-resistant device. The pricing of the OPPO Watch. However, the leakster thinks that it could be priced around 2,000 Yuan ($288).
The official poster that OPPO had released recently had revealed that the OPPO Watch will come in two color variants. Both the gold and blue variants were spotted with black colored straps. Also, the poster confirmed that the device will arrive with voice call functionality which indicates it could be equipped with an eSIM. Some reports have claimed that there could be some other variants of the OPPO Watch with leather straps.
The OPPO Watch has two flat buttons on the right edge. There is no confirmation on whether the device is running on Android Wear OS or a proprietary OS from OPPO.
The OPPO Find X2 and X2 Pro will be debuting as the most powerful 5G-ready flagship phones from the company. There is a possibility that the Chinese firm may provide buyers of the Find X2 series with some sort of OPPO Watch bundle offer.
