OPPO Watch to Debut on March 6, Blue and Gold Color Options Confirmed

Recently, the upcoming smartwatch from OPPO was made available for reservations. Rumors have been claiming that OPPO will be announcing its first smartwatch dubbed as OPPO Watch on March 6. Finally, an official confirmation from the company has come today that reveals that the OPPO Watch will be indeed announced on the said date.

Earlier in February, OPPO had confirmed that the OPPO Find X2 series will be unveil during a pre-event of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020. Since MWC 2020 had to be cancelled due to COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak, the Chinese firm postponed the launch event of the Find X2 series to March 6. Now it has confirmed that the much awaited OPPO Watch will be also unveiled on the same date.

In the official poster released by the company, the OPPO Watch can be seen sporting a square-shaped curved OLED display. On the right side of the device, there are two flat hardware buttons. There device is expected to come in two color options like blue and gold. Some reports have claimed that the smartwatch will be also available in leather strap variants.

The specifications of the OPPO Watch are currently under the wraps. It is yet to known whether the device runs on a proprietary software from OPPO or Android Wear OS. The device is said to be equipped with a heart rate sensor. As it can be seen in the image, it will arrive with voice call support. Probably, it will arrive with e-SIM function.

As far as the Find X2 is concerned, rumors have revealed that its Pro edition will be arriving with specs like 120Hz 6.7-inch quad HD+ display with punch-hole, Snapdragon 865 mobile platform and 4,260mAh battery with 65W fast charge support. It has 32-megapixel front camera and 48-megapixlel Sony IMX689 + 48-mgeapixel Sony IMX586 ultrawide + 13-megapixel telephoto periscope triple camera setup.
