Philips PH1 unveiled with a super affordable launch price

After launching the Philips PH2 smartphone smartphone earlier this month, Dutch Electronics giant Philips is now back with an even more affordable model known as the Philips PH1 in the Chinese market.

Right off the bat, the Philips PH1 comes with a 6.5” TFT display that offers a modest HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 18:9 tall aspect ratio, as well as a 5 megapixels front-facing camera for selfie and video calling purposes.

At the back, it features a neat-looking dual-camera setup comprising of a 13 megapixels main camera along with a secondary snapper. On top of that, there’s also a LED flash to help with low-light photography.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by an quad-core UNISOC Tiger T310 chipset which is paired with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.

To keep it’s lights on, it is backed by a respectable 4,700mAh battery with an undisclosed charging speed. Likewise, there’s no mention on the Android version of the phone as well.

In the Chinese market, the Philips PH1 is priced starting from just 499 Yuan (US$78) for it’s 4GB+32GB base model, and goes up to 769 Yuan (US$121) for it’s 4GB+128GB model.
