Official: POCO C40 lands in the global market

After launching the POCO C40 in the Vietnamese market last week, POCO has now officially unveiled the smartphone in the global market where the phone could be offered in up to two different configurations – 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB – depending on the region.

The new POCO C40 smartphone builds around a 6.7” IPS LCD display featuring a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as a 5 megapixels front-facing camera tucked into it’s waterdrop-notch along it’s upper bezel.

Over on the rear side, the POCO C40 comes with large a rectangular camera bump which houses a pair of cameras comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels depth unit for portrait shots. To assist with low-light photography, the POCO C40 also features a LED flash unit which sits perpendicularly to the rear cameras.

Under the hood, the POCO C40 is powered by an octa-core JLQ JR510 chipset developed by Shanghai-based semiconductor manufacturer JLQ Technology. This will be paired with up to4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.

Keeping it’s lights on is a respectable 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Other than that, it also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack and MIUI 13 based on Android 11 OS out of the box. Those who’re interested can pick the phone from three different colors such as yellow, black, and green.

At the moment, POCO has yet to announce the official pricing of the POCO C40 in the global market, but noted that the price varies based on the regional availability.
