While Poco F1 fans are eagerly waiting for the arrival of the Xiaomi Poco F2 smartphone, a new Geekbench listing suggests that the next Poco phone could be called Poco X2. There is no confirmation on the authenticity of the Poco X2 Geekbench listing. An interesting thing about it is that the listing suggests that the Redmi K30 could be a rebranded as Poco X2 in India.
The Poco F2 has scored 547 points in the single-core test of Geekbench 5. It has reached 1767 points in its multi-core test. The name of the SoC that fuels the device is not mentioned in the listing. Instead, it mentions the ‘phoenixin’ codename of the device.
The listing further reveals that the 1.8GHz base frequency processor of the Poco X2 will be accompanied by 8 GB of RAM. Also, the phone is found to be preinstalled with Android 10 OS.
The Phoenix codename belongs to the Redmi K30 smartphone. In November last year, an unknown Phoenix smartphone with specs like 120Hz display, Sony IMX686 lens and side-facing fingerprint reader was spotted in the MIUI 11 code. This handset debuted as Redmi K30 in December.
The codename of the older Redmi K20 Pro is Raphael and its Indian edition has a Raphaelin codename. Hence, there is a possibility that the Poco X2 with Phoenixin codename could be the Indian version of the Redmi K30. The M191G7BI Xiaomi phone that was recently approved by Bureau of Indian Standards is the Indian version of the Redmi K30. It now seems that the M191G7BI may debut as Poco X2.
