Pre-orders for Sony Xperia XZ sells out in Taiwan within 45 minutes

Yesterday, Sony kicked off its pre-order campaign for their latest Xperia XZ flagship in Taiwan and was surprised by the overwhelming demand for the device. According to its Taiwan’s branch, the first batch of Xperia XZ were sold out in less than 45 minutes after the pre-order commence although they did not reveal the number of units which had been sold.

Bear in mind, the pre-order in this case isn’t referring to the typical per-registrations campaigns as it do involved the exchange of cash. Those who had successfully placed their order will be able to collect their device somewhere during early October next month.

Currently, the Xperia XZ is retailed at a price of NT22,900 (~$730) in Taiwan.
