Realme is expected to unveil the Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone by the end of this month (November) in China. Next month, the brand is expected to announce the Realme V50 and Realme V50s entry-level 5G phones. It appears that either by the end of December or early January 2024, the company may unveil the Realme 12 Pro series. A new leak has revealed the chipset that will power the Realme 12 Pro lineup.
In today’s leak, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that the Realme 12 Pro series will be equipped with the SM7550 chipset, which is nothing but the recently announced Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. Shown above is an alleged render of the Realme 12 Pro+ which has been circulating on Weibo for the past few weeks.
Apart from revealing the chipset, the leaker has not revealed anything else about the Realme 12 Pro series in today’s leak. In a previous leak, the tipster claimed that the lineup would be priced at around 2,000 Yuan ($280).
He also revealed that the Realme 12 Pro will be equipped with a Sony IMX709 32-megapixel telephoto camera with support for 2x optical zoom. On the other hand, the Realme 12 Pro+ will have an OmniVision OV64B 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with support for 3x optical zoom.
The Realme GT 5 Pro, launching this month, will be the company’s first phone to feature a periscope telephoto camera. It is said to be equipped with a Sony IMX890 camera sensor for periscope zoom shots. On the other hand, the OmniVision lens that will be available on the Realme 12 Pro+ is no slouch, as the upcoming OnePlus 12 is also expected to feature the same periscope telephoto camera.
