Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro Launched in India

Realme had held a launch event in India to announce Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro smartphones. Both smartphones are equipped with bigger displays, larger batteries and improved processor compared to the predecessor Realme 3 and Realme 3 Pro smartphones.  However, major selling feature of the Realme 5 and 4,Realme 5 Pro is that they are both equipped with four rear-facing cameras.

Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro Specifications and Features

The Realme 5 and Realme 5 are equipped with 6.5-inch displays. The Realme 5 supp orts HD+ resolution and the Pro model offers full HD+ resolution. The Snapdragon 665 fuels the Realme 5 phone along with up to 6 GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 712 chipset with up to 8 GB of RAM powers the Realme 5 Pro.

The Realme 5 is packed with a behemoth 5,000mAh battery. On the other side, the Realme 5 Pro has a smaller 4,035mAh battery, but it comes with 20W VOOC 3.0 Flash Charging support. The redesigned ColorOS 6.0 by Realme can be found on these Android 9 Pie OS powered phones.

The Realme has a 13-megapixel selfie snapper in its dewdrop notch. The Realme 5 Pro has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. It features a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel primary lens, a 119-degree ultrawide lens of 8-megapixel, a 2-megapixel portrait lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor in its quad camera setup. The Realme has a quad camera setup on its rear. It features the same lens as the Pro, but instead of 48-megapixel lens it has a 12-megapixel primary lens.

Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro Price and Release Date

The Realme 5 has arrived in three models in India and they are respectively priced at Rs. 9,999 ($140). Rs. 10,999 ($155) and Rs. 11,999 (~$170). Sparking Blue and Crystal Green are its color editions. On the other side, the Realme 5 Pro has three variants such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and they are respectively priced at Rs. 13,999 ($195), Rs. 14,999 ($210) and Rs. 16,999 ($240). It can be bought in Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple colors. The Realme 5 will go on sale for the first time on Aug. 27 whereas the Realme 5 Pro’s first sale will be held on Sept. 4 in India.
