Realme has finally unveiled the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro smartphones in India. Unlike previously speculated, they are not successor editions of the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro.
At the unveiling event, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth said that the Realme 6 and 6 Pro have debuted in India as successor phones for last year’s Realme 5 Pro and Realme X, respectively. Here is all the information on the specifications, features and pricing of the Realme 6 duo.
Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro Specifications
The Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro are equipped with 6.5-inch IPS LCD displays. The single punch-hole on the Realme 6 is the home for its 16-megapixel selfie shooter.
On the other side, the Realme 6 Pro has an elliptical punch-hole on its screen. It has a Sony IMX471 16-megapixel main lens that is coupled with 105-degree 8-megapixel ultrawide lens.
The glass bodied phones come with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and splash resistance. The punch-hole displays on Realme 6 duo all them to offer 90.5 screen space.
The MediaTek Helio G90T chipset drives the Realme 6. The Realme 6 Pro becomes the first phone ever to arrive with the Snapdragon 720G mobile platform. Both phones come with LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.1 storage and microSD card slot.
The Realme UI based Android 10 OS comes preinstalled on the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro. The Realme 6 duo houses 4,300mAh batteries. Both phones support 30W fast charging which can charge them completely in 60 minutes.
The Realme 6 has a 64-megapixel (Samsung GW1) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (monochrome) + 2-megapixel (macro) quad camera setup on its back.
On the other hand, the rear shell of the Realme 6 Pro features a quad camera system that features a 64-megapixel (Samsung GW1) + a 119-degree 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 12-megapixel (telephoto) + 2-megapixel (macro) quad camera setup.
Moreover, the rear cameras of the Realme 6 Pro support up to 20x hybrid zoom and they are optimized to capture low-light shots and videos. The Realme 6 Pro comes with some additional features like dual-band GPS frequency with support India’s NaviC navigation system, Hi-Res audio and Dolby Atmos support.
Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro Pricing and Release Date
The Realme 6 comes in three variants such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. They are priced at Rs. 12,999 ($175), Rs. 14,999 ($204) and Rs. 15,999 ($218), respectively. Comet Blue and Comet White are its two color editions.
The different variants of the Realme 6 Pro include 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. They are priced at Rs. 17,999 ($232), Rs. 18,999 ($245) and Rs. 19,999 ($259), respectively. Its two color variants are Lightning Blue and Lighting Orange.
The Realme 6 will be available for purchase in India at 12 PM on March 11. The Pro model will be available at 12 PM on March 13. Both phones can be brought through Realme India and Flipkart in India.
