Realme 6i will debut on March 17th; will be the world’s first Helio G80 smartphone

Realme has officially confirmed that the company will be announcing the Realme 6i smartphone on March 17th.

This will be the third smartphone in the Realme 6 series lineup which currently consists of the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro duo which were announced in India last week.

Similar to the newly announced Realme 6 series phones, the upcoming Realme 6i is expected to arrive with some significant upgrade over the current Realme 5i.

Realme had already confirmed that the Realme 6i will be the first smartphone in the world to be driven by the recently launched MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. This is a pretty powerful chip which sits between the Helio G70 and Helio G90 SoCs.

Besides that, the Realme 6i is also confirmed to arrive with an impressive 18W fast-charging capability as well. The Realme 5i in comparison, only supports 10W standard-charging.

Other than the aforementioned improvements, the Realme 6i is also likely to see a slight upgrades to it’s camera compartment as well. Perhaps, the screen refresh rate may also see a bump this time round.

Certainly, Realme has been doing a great job in improving their entry-level and mid-rangers phones over the past few months while keeping their prices affordable.

We are definitely excited to see what the upcoming Realme 6i has in store for us!
