Realme 7 5G goes official with 120Hz refresh rate, Dimensity 800U & 30W fast-charging

Following the successful launch of the Realme 7 series smartphones back in September this year, Realme is back with another 7-series smartphone known as the Realme 7 5G which was announced today in the U.K. market.

Although the device was marketed under the Realme 7 5G moniker, but its essentially a rebranded model of the Realme V5 which was launched in the Chinese market back in August this year. As such, it will come with pretty much the same specifications as the Realme V5 device.

Starting with the front, the Realme 7 5G features a a 6.5-inches FHD+ LCD display which boast a smooth 120Hz screen refresh rate. It employs the usual hole punch design, similar to what we saw on the Realme 7 Pro (Review), to accommodate its 16 megapixels selfie camera.

On the flip-side, the Realme 7 5G comes with a rectangular camera housing on its rear which flaunts a quad-cameras array. These cameras include a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.

Under the hood, the device is fueled by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC along with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department.

To keep its lights on, it is fitted with a massive 5,000mAh battery which has 30W fast-charging support via a USB Type-C port, capable of delivering a full charge within 65 minutes. As usual, it will run on the custom Realme UI (based on Android 10 OS), and will be preserving a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In the U.K. market, the Realme 7 5G will retail at £279 (US$369) for it’s sole 8GB+128GB model.
