Realme Singapore has officially announced the brand new Realme 8 5G in the local market which will go on sale starting May 29th at an affordable price of just S$399. Interestingly, the phone is even cheaper than it’s Realme 7 5G counterpart which was launched at the beginning of the year.
In terms of specs, the Realme 8 5G is one of the small handful of smartphones in the local market that’s powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 700 mobile platform including the recently unveiled Vivo Y72 5G, as well as several other upcoming models.
The Realme 8 5G sports a 6.5” LCD display upfront which offers a FHD+ screen resolution topped with a smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate. Along the right edge of the phone, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles up as a Power button.
In the imaging front, there’s a triple-camera setup on the rear side that brings along a 48 megapixels main camera and a pair of 2 megapixels sensors for macro and depth information. Similarly, you do get a 16 megapixels front-facing camera for selfie and video-calling as well.
At the helm, the Realme 8 5G is fueled by a massive 5,000mAh battery which gives you sufficient power to last through the day. To sweeten the deal, the phone is also equipped with 18W fast-charging support.
Availability-wise, the Realme 8 5G can be purchased in Singapore through all Realmeās concept store, online flagship stores on Shopee and Lazada, as well as authorised resellers islandwide.
Those who pre-order the phone between May 20th – 28th via Realme’s flagship store on Lazada will be entitled to a free Reakme Buds Air Pro and Realme Powerbank (worth SGD208), while stocks last.
