MediaTek has officially announced the new 5G-ready MediaTek Dimensity 810 and Dimensity 920 chipsets that are targeted toward the mid-ranger smartphones. Following the announcement, Realme’s India and Europe CEO Madhav Sheth was quick to drop hints that the company could well be the first smartphone maker to launch a Dimensity 810-powered smartphone.
Though there is no further information revealed in this regard, but the device is likely to be one of the two upcoming Realme smartphones – Realme 8s and Realme 8i. Most reports however, believed that the phone is likely to be the Realme 8s which was spotted in several leaked renders recently.
Apart from the possibility of adopting the new Dimensity 810 chipset, the Realme 8s is also said to feature a 6.5” IPS LCD display that offers a smooth 90Hz refresh rate as well as a 16 megapixels front-facing camera.
Other than that, the phone is also said to sport a 64MP triple-cam setup, 8GB RAM, 128GB onboard storage, 5,000mAh battery, as well as 33W fast-charging support. All these features point toward a pretty decent mid-ranger, so let’s hope it’s price will be equally attractive too!
