Realme GT 5, GT 5 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 tipped to launch in China

In January 2022, Realme launched the Realme GT 2 and GT 2 Pro flagship phones in China. Since then, it hasn’t launched a GT-branded flagship phone in the home market. A new leak reveals that Realme is planning to launch the Realme GT 5 and GT 5 Pro.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets will power the Realme GT 5 and Realme GT 5 Pro, respectively, according to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. The GT 5 is expected to launch in August in China, whereas the Pro edition may debut after a couple of months.

Previous reports have claimed Realme will launch the GT Neo 6 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 onboard in August in China. However, it now appears that this device will be called the Realme GT 5 when it arrives in the Chinese market.
