Realme GT 5 name confirmed in Realme booth at ongoing China Joy 2023 event

The China Joy 2023 tech exhibition is currently underway in China, with various tech brands showcasing their latest innovations and technologies at the event. Notably, Realme’s booth at the exhibition has officially confirmed the existence of the highly anticipated upcoming device, the Realme GT 5.

Adding to the excitement, Realme China’s Vice President, Xu Qi, recently revealed that the company will be reintroducing GT-series flagships in the Chinese market. Speculations and reports suggest that the next GT-series phone from Realme could be named the Realme GT 5. Now, an image captured at Realme’s booth during China Joy 2023 further substantiates this claim, hinting that the Realme GT 5 will indeed be launched soon in the home market.

With the official confirmation from the event and the revelations made by Realme’s VP, tech enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting more details and the official unveiling of the Realme GT 5. It can be said based on recent reports that the Realme phone with RMX3820/3 model numbers, which has appeared at 3C and TENAA certification platforms, could be the upcoming Realme GT 5.

The Realme GT 5 is expected to feature a 6.74-inch OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered device is expected to feature 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and Realme UI 4.0-based Android 13. The device has a 16-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX890, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. Its 4,600mAh battery variant is expected to support 240W charging, whereas the 5,200mAh battery variant may offer 150W fast charging.

Realme may announce the Realme GT 5 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 onboard by the end of this year. One of its major attractions will be that it will be Realmeā€™s first phone to feature a periscope zoom camera.
