Realme GT 5 Pro price appears before official announcement

Realme is scheduled to launch the Realme GT 5 Pro flagship phone on Dec. 7 in China. A new Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that the GT 5 Pro may debut as the most affordable phone featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

The above image shared by tipster Digital Chat Station belongs to a retailer listing the Realme GT 5 Pro from China. It reveals that the device will have a starting price of 3,499 Yuan ($495). For those who don’t know, the iQOO 12 and the Xiaomi 14 are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and have a starting price of 3,999 Yuan ($550). Hence, it appears that the GT 5 Pro is all set to become the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 smartphone. 

So far, the brand has officially confirmed that the device will be equipped with a BOE-supplied OLED panel with curved edges. It will pack a massive 12,000mm2 heat dissipation unit and will draw power from a 5,400mAh battery. The company has also revealed that it will support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

In terms of photography, the Realme GT 5 Pro will have a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 primary camera with OIS support. It is the same primary camera sensor that is available on the OnePlus Open and the upcoming OnePlus 12 flagship phones. In addition, the camera setup of the device will have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel IMX890 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a 120x digital zoom.

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will power the device. In addition, the device is expected to arrive with up to 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
