Realme is now reportedly working on the Realme 12 Pro series of smartphones for the Chinese market. In addition, it also seems to be working on a new affordable flagship phone dubbed the Realme GT Neo 6. Realme GT Neo 6 China launch timeframe (rumored)
According to the tipster, the upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It will replace the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1-powered Realme GT Neo 5, which debuted in February 2023.
The leaker further said that the Realme GT Neo 6 will be announced after the Chinese Spring Festival. This indicates that the smartphone may debut in late February in China. Probably, the device will be showcased at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, which is expected to be held by the end of February 2024.
The Realme GT Neo 6 will arrive as a major rival for the likes of the Redmi K70, the iQOO Neo 9, the Honor 90 GT, and the OnePlus Ace 3, which are all equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The GT Neo 5 debuted with a starting price of 2,499 Yuan (~$350). Hence, it is likely that the Neo 6 may debut with similar pricing.
The tipster also claimed that the brand is also working on the Realme 12 Pro series of smartphones. As per reports, the Pro variant will have a Sony IMX709 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, whereas the Pro edition will have an OmniVision OV64B 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Both phones are expected to feature a curved-edge FHD+ 120Hz display and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.
