Realme Race Flagship’s February Launch Hinted

In December, Realme confirmed that its upcoming flagship phone that is codenamed as “Race” will arrive in Q1 2021 with Snapdragon 888 onboard. Today, Realme China President, Xu Qi took to Weibo to reveal that the Race smartphone will be debuting after the Chinese Spring Festival, which falls on February 12.

Unfortunately, Xu Qi did not share any new information on the specs of the Realme Race. Recent reports have claimed that it could be coming to the market as the first Ace series phone from Realme. Leaked information shared by GSMArena December revealed that the Realme Race phone has a model number of RMX2202.

Realme Race Coming After Spring Festival

The report by the publication revealed that the Realme Race has a circular camera module for its ear camera setup. The Snapdragon 888 powered phone was found to be equipped with 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and Realme UI 2.0 based Android 11 OS.

In the past week, popular tipster Ice Universe shared the key specs of the Pro edition of the Realme Race. The leak revealed that the device has a 6.8-inch OLED screen that offers a 20:9 aspect ratio, quad HD+ resolution, and 160Hz refresh rate.

The Pro handset is expected to arrive with 12 GB of LPPDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. It could be housing a 5,000mAh battery with 125W fast charging support. For photography, it may feature a 64-megapixel main camera and a pair of 13-megapixel snappers. There is no word on the front camera of the smartphone. Readers are advised to digest the specs leak of the Realme Pro handset with a grain of salt.
