Last month, Realme started teasing the arrival of a new series of smartphones called Realme Koi. Its subsequent post suggested that the first phone in the Koi series could be powered by the Snapdragon 888. However, a new leak revealed that appeared by the last month revealed the existence of a new phone called the Realme V15. Today, Xu Qi who is the President of Realme China confirmed through Weibo that the Realme V15 smartphone will break cover on Jan. 7.
As can be seen in the posters shared by Xu Qi, the Realme V15 sports an amazing rear shell with a colorful design. It seems that the rear appeal of the phone is inspired by an ornamental carp called Koi fish that can be found in Japan. The rear design of the phone matches with the leaked shots of the V15 that had appeared recently.
The top-left corner of the Realme V15’s rear panel has a 64-megapixel triple camera setup and an LED flash. The handset has a power key on the left side, whereas its right edge has volume buttons. The launch event of the Realme V15 will be held at 2 PM (local time) on Jan. 7.
The Realme V15 is also available for reservations through Chinese retailer sites like JD.com, Tmall, and Suning. A poster found in the JD listing reveals that the handset has a punch-hole screen. It seems to be equipped with an OLED screen with in-display fingerprint sensor.
As far as specs are concerned, only a few details of the Realme V15 are known so far. It is known the V15 could be coming with Dimensity 800U chipset and 50W fast charging support. The other specs of the phone are yet to be revealed.
