Realme V15 to be launched as Realme X7 in select markets

Over the past couple of weeks, the Realme V15 had popped up on several key regulatory bodies which raised the possibility that the device will be making its way to the global market.

Right now, it seems like the Realme V15 will be heading to the Indian market as Realme X7 after Madhav Sheth, Realme CEO for India and Europe, posted a render of the upcoming Realme X7 which shows an identical design and colorway as the Realme V15.

Although the official launch date of the device has yet to be officially confirmed, but speculations are rife that the Realme X7 will be launched alongside the X7 Pro in early February.

As a recap, the Realme V15 features 6.4-inches AMOLED display which boasts a FHD+ screen resolution and has a hole-punch cutout that houses a 16 megapixels selfie camera.

Under the hood, the Realme V15 is powered by an octa-core mediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset which allows the device to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. It will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department.

For photography, the device arrives with a triple-camera setup comprising of a  64 megapixels primary shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera. Interestingly, the Realme V15 actually comes with protruding lenses for its rear cameras similar to what we saw on the OPPO Reno4 Pro (Review).

To keep its lights on, the Realme V15 is helmed by a respectable 4,310mAh battery that comes with support for 50W fast-charging that’s capable of charging the device from 0 to 50% within 18 minutes. On the software-side, the device will be loaded with the custom Realme UI on Android 10 OS.
