During an online launch event today, Realme has officially announced the highly anticipated Realme X3 and Realme X3 SuperZoom devices for the Indian market.
As we know, the Realme X3 SuperZoom is exactly the same device which was announced in the European market last month. The Realme X3 on the other hand, will be a brand new device which happens to share quite a fair bit of similarities as the higher-end Realme X3 SuperZoom.
For starter, the Realme X3 features a 6.6-inches FHD+ LCD display which boast a super smooth 120Hz screen refresh rate. Its front display employs a dual hole-punched cutout on the top-left corner which houses a 16 megapixels main camera and an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens.
On its rear panel, the device has a familiar pill-shape housing which play host to a quad-cameras system. It is fitted with a 64 megapixels main camera which is supported by 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera.
Its worth noting that the vanilla Realme X3’s telephoto lens has been downgraded from 5x optical zoom (on the Realme X3 SuperZoom) to just 2x optical zoom. Likewise, its digital zoom capability has been reduced from 60x to 20x as well.
Under the hood, the Realme X3 is driven by a slightly older Snapdragon 855+ SoC which will be assisted by up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The utilization of a non-5G chip make sense in markets where 5G network isn’t readily available to the consumers. Needless to say, an older chip also keeps the cost down and makes the device more affordable.
To keep its lights on, the Realme X3 will be fueled by a respectable 4,200mAh battery with 30W fast-charging. It will run on the Realme UI based on the latest Android 10 OS. The device will be offered in two didifferent colorways including Arctic White and Glacier Blue.
In terms of pricing, the Realme X3 is priced at INR24,999 (US$331) and INR25,999 (US$344) for it’s 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB models respectively.
