In the previous week, tipster Ice Universe revealed that Realme has started the mass production of its first 240W charger, which has a model number VCKCJACH. Today, the company has confirmed that it will unveil its 240W charging technology at 2:30 pm on Jan. 5 in China.
Apart from revealing the launch date of the Realme 240W charger, the above post does not reveal anything about it. Recent reports have revealed that the Realme’s 240W charger will carry support for multiple charging protocols, such as 65W PD charging.
Rumors are rife that the upcoming Realme’s 240W charger will be made available alongside the Realme GT Neo 5, which is expected in January 2023. Rumors are rife that it will boast a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution of 2,772 x 1,240 pixels. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is anticipated to power the GT Neo 5. It is likely to come with 512 GB of native storage and up to 16 GB of RAM.
The GT Neo 5 will ship with the Realme UI 4.0 skin on top of Android 13. It will sport a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), which is likely to be combined with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The Realme GT Neo 5 is anticipated to come in two battery and rapid charging configurations. When it comes to rapid charging, the 4,600mAh battery version is likely to support 240W while the 5,000mAh battery version is expected to support 150W. The GT Neo 5 will also have a plastic frame, RGB lights, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
