Realme GT Neo 5 Key Specifications Tipped, Launch Seems Near

Rumors are rife that the Realme GT Neo 5 will be Realme’s next smartphone for the Chinese market. A recent report revealed the rear design of the smartphone. The rumor mill has been revealing the specifications of the GT Neo 5 in bits and pieces. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared some detailed information about the device.

According to DCS, the Realme GT Neo 5 will have a 6.7-inch OLED display that produces a 1.5K resolution of 2,772 x 1,240 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. The display will be integrated with a fingerprint scanner.

The Realme GT Neo 5 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. While it is not mentioned in the leak, the device may offer up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of native storage.

The Realme GT Neo 5 is likely to run on the Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 skin out of the box. For photography, it will have an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera, which will most likely be paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

Moving on to the battery, the Realme GT Neo 5 is expected to be released in two battery and rapid charging variants. While the 5,000mAh battery variant is expected to support 150W fast charging, its 4,600mAh battery edition is expected to support 240W fast charging. Lastly, the GT Neo 5 will offer an under-display fingerprint scanner, a plastic frame, and RGB lights.

The leak does not state anything on the Realme GT Neo 5’s launch timeframe. It appears that the device is set to debut in January in China.
