Realme’s Smartphone with Under Display Camera Technology Teased

ZTE announced the ZTE Axon A20 5G smartphone recently as the world’s first smartphone with under-display camera technology. Other popular smartphone brands in China are also working on smartphones with the new selfie camera technology. Today, Realme VP Xu Qi shared an image of a mysterious Realme phone with under-display camera technology.

The Realme executive did not reveal any information on the name and specs of the company’s first phone that will feature the under-display camera technology. Now that the company has started teasing the smartphone, it may go official soon.

Last year, Realme had launched the Realme X2 Pro flagship phone in October. Probably, the company’s next flagship smartphone will come equipped with an under-display camera technology around the same time this year.

In related news, Realme is working on the launch of new phones in China. One of them has the Realme RMX2117 model number and it is expected to break cover as a Realme Q-series smartphone. The handset has bagged approval from the TENAA authority of China. Its key specs include a 6.5-inch FHD+ display, 2.4GHz octa-core processor, up to 8 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, a 4,900mAh rated battery, a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system.

The other Realme phone that has received TENAA certification has an RMX2173 model number. The device is speculated to debut as Realme X7 Lite / Youth since it has the exact same specs as the Realme X7 phone along with downgraded cameras. The alleged X7 Lite has a 16-megapixel front camera and a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad-camera system.
