Redmi 10 Prime Official Launch Date

According to Xiaomi India, the Redmi 10 Prime will be officially announced on September 3rd next week, and will arrive just in time to compete with other upcoming entry-level smartphones like the Narzo 50 series devices.

At the moment, there isn’t much information pertaining to the hardware specs as the Redmi 10 Prime. However, the phone is likely to share largely similar specs as the current Redmi 10 which was launched in the South-East Asian markets.

For the benefits of those who’d missed out, the Redmi 10 features a 6.5” LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels selfie camera housed within it’s central hole-punch cutout compartment.

For photography, the Redmi 10 comes with a rectangular camera island which brings along a quad-camera system. These cameras include a 50 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro shooter, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.

Under the hood, the Redmi 10 is powered by the latest MediaTek Helio G88 chipset which will be paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department. It’s internal storage as usual, can be further expanded via a microSD card.

To keep it’s lights on, the Redmi 10 draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-wired charging and 9W reverse charging. On the software-side, the phone will be shipped with MIUI 12 based on Android 11 out of the box.
