Redmi announced the Redmi 7 smartphone in China today through a dedicated launch event which was also used for announcing the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The Redmi 7 comes with a waterdrop notch display and it is packed it decent specs like Snapdragon 632 and big battery.
Redmi 7 Specifications, Features and Price
The Redmi 7 is fitted with a 6.2-inch display that produces HD+ resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. The waterdrop notch screen makes it possible to deliver 19:9 aspect ratio. It is safeguarded by Gorilla Glass 5.
The Snapdragon 632 mobile platform powers the 2 GB RAM + 16 GB storage, 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage editions of the Redmi 7. There is a microSD card slot on the device for more storage.
The backside of the phone is fitted with 12-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera setup. On the front side of the device is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. There is a 4,000mAh battery inside of the phone. The Android 9 Pie OS that is overlaid with MIUI 10 skin comes loaded on the device.
The 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB Redmi 7 models are respectively priced at 699 Yuan ($105), 799 Yuan ($119) and 899 Yuan ($135). It sales will begin in China on March 26. Black, Red and Blue are the different color editions of the Redmi 7.
