Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Goes Official with Pressure Sensitive AMOLED Display and Snapdragon 855

Xiaomi has announced the Black Shark gaming phone through an unveil event in China. The smartphone comes with a pressure-sensitive AMOLED display and it isi fueled by the Snapdragon 855 chipset. Also, it hasg one official with an enticing price tag of 3,199 Yuan ($449) in China.

Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Specifications, Features and Price

Xiaomi Black Shark 2 features an S-AMOLED display that offers full HD+ resolution. Since it is a pressure-sensitive display, users can map left and right buttons on the screen that will deliver feedback through harder press. It supports 430-nits brightness and DI-P3 color gamut. The smartphone is fitted with dual front-facing speakers. The display of the Black Shark 2 is embedded with an in-display fingerprint reader.

The Black Shark 2 is powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset that is supported by Liquid Cool 3.0 vapor chamber cooling technology that can effectively reduce internal temperature by 14 degrees. The 4,000mAh battery of the phone supports 27W fast charging. The 48-megapixel + 12-megapixel dual camera setup is available on the backside of the Black Shark 2. It is fitted with a front-facing camera of 20-megapixel.

The GamePad 3.0 module can turn the phone into a gaming console like Nintendo Switch. The gamepad is equipped with HDMI port and several other hardware buttons.

The 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage of the Black Shark 2 are respectively priced at 3,199 Yuan ($449), 3,499 Yuan ($520), 3,799 Yuan ($565) and 4,199 Yuan ($625). Its three color editions are Shadow Black, Frozen Silver and Mirage Blue.
