Redmi 8 Likely to Launch in October in India

Earlier today, Xiaomi India had launched the Redmi 8A smartphone with an enticing price tag of Rs. 6,499. At the end of the unveiling of the smartphone, Xiaomi’s Global Vice President and Managing Director for India teased the arrival of Redmi 8 without revealing any information on it. He was spotted holding the unannounced smartphone which revealed that it is equipped with a dual camera system on its rear.

Redmi 8 Specifications (Rumored)

The Redmi M1908C3IC that was approved by the TENAA telecom authority of China earlier this month seems to be the upcoming Redmi 8 phone. The smartphone has 156.3 × 75.4 × 9.4mm measurements and it weighs 190 grams.

The Redmi 8 has a 6.217-inch IPS LCD display. The waterdrop notch enabled screen offers 19:9 aspect ratio and 19:9 aspect ratio. It features an unknown 2.0GHz octa-core processor. The smartphone has up to 64 GB of storage and up to 4 GB of RAM. There is a microSD card slot for expanding it storage.

There is a 5,000mAh battery inside the Redmi 8 smartphone. It is likely to support 18W fast charging through USB-C. The rear side of the phone has a dual camera setup that consists of a primary lens of 12-megapixel. A fingerprint scanner is placed below the dual camera system of the phone. The handset features a front camera of 8-megapixel. It is preinstalled with Android 9 Pie OS.
