After the launch of the Redmi 10X series, all eyes are now focusing on the upcoming budget-centric Redmi 9 series smartphones. This time round, a total of 4 different models are expected: Redmi 9, Redmi 9A, Redmi 9C (w/ NFC), as well as Redmi 9C (w/o NFC).
Courtesy of the folks over at Gizmochina, we’re now able to have our first look at the retail packaging of the upcoming Redmi 9 which revealed exactly how the device will look like. On first look, we could easily tell that the design and its accompanying color options resemble what we’d seen from the recent leaked images of the device.
At the front, the Redmi 9 will feature a dewdrop-notch display which according to reputable tipster @Sudhanshu1414, will measure approximately 6.53-inches diagonally. It will be an LCD display which boast a FHD+ screen resolution and has an 8 megapixels selfie camera.
Over on its flip-side, the Redmi 9 has a quad-cameras system which is expected to be a 13 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 5 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. Other than that, there is also a LED flash and a fingerprint scanner as well.
Under the hood, the device is expected to be driven by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G70/ G80 SoC which will be paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. Just like any other Redmi smartphones, the Redmi 9 has a huge 5,000mAh battery at the helm as well.
In terms of pricing, the 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB models are expected to be priced at US$139.99 and US$149.99 respectively.
