Xiaomi recently unveiled the Xiaomi Redmi 9 entry-level smartphone in Spain and Malaysia. Recently, the handset popped up in the database of China’s TENAA regulatory body. It indicated that the phone will be launching soon in the home market. Today, the company released an official confirmation that the sale of the Redmi 9 will begin in China starting at 10 AM (local time) on June 24.
The Redmi 9 page is yet to appear on the official website of Xiaomi China. However, the specifications of the smartphone are already known because of its global launch. The international edition of the Redmi 9 comes in two variants such as 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage. However, reliable tipster Ishan Agarwal had recently revealed that China will receive the Redmi 9 in new configurations and color variants.
The Redmi 9 for China will be available in variants such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. Its color variants for the home market are Carbon Black, Neon Blue, Pink, and Dark Green.

A 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with dot notch is available on the Xiaomi Redmi 9 phone. It offers a Full HD+ resolution. It has a front camera of 8-megapixel and on its back is a 13-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 5-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad-camera system. The Android 10 OS along with MIUI 12 runs on the device.
The Xiaomi Redmi 9 is driven by Helio G80 SoC. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
