The Redmi A1 has reportedly been approved by India’s BIS authority, Indonesia’s TKDN, and the FCC in the US. Some reports have claimed that the device may be rebranded as the POCO C50 in India and some other markets.

Earlier this month, the Redmi A1 was spotted at the Geekbench benchmarking site. According to the listing, the device will have the Helio A22 chipset, 3 GB of RAM, and Android 12 OS. The other details of the smartphone are under wraps. Since the company has started dropping hints about its arrival, we can expect more details to be confirmed in the next few days.

In related news, a new leak has revealed that Redmi is also gearing up to launch the Redmi 11 Prime 5G smartphone in India. The device is likely to arrive as a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11E, which debuted in China a few months ago. The POCO M4 5G, which is already available in India, is a tweaked version of the Note 11E.
