Redmi K30 5G TENAA Listing Reveals 12 GB RAM Edition Could be Coming in Future

On Dec. 10, Redmi had launched the Redmi K30 smartphone in China. It was announced in 4G and 5G editions. The 4G version is already available for purchase in the home market. However, the 5G edition will be hitting the Chinese markets next year. Few days before the launch event, the Redmi K30’s 4G variant had appeared on TENAA, but the 5G model was not seen. Now, the 5G model of the Redmi K30 that has a model number of M2001G7AE has been spotted on TENAA with its entire specifications. The listing reveals that the Redmi K30 5G will be arriving in a 12 GB RAM edition which wasn’t announced at its unveil event.

The Redmi K30 5G and its 4G have few differences. The K30 5G has Snapdragon 765G processor while the 4G model is fueled by Snapdragon 730G. The K30 5G features a 5-megapixel macro lens in its 64-megapixel quad camera system whereas the K30 4G swaps it with a 2-megapixel macro lens. The 30W fast charging is available on the Redmi K30 5G smartphone, but its 4G variant has slightly slower 27W rapid charge. As per the launch event of the Redmi K30, both phones have up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of native storage. However, the TENAA listing of the Redmi K30 5G reveals that its highest model may come with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Probably, this variant will be announced in January when the phone is scheduled to go on sale.

The Redmi K30 5G’s top model i.e. 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage is priced at 2,899 Yuan ($415). Probably, the 12 GB RAM edition could be priced around 3,299 Yuan ($473). TENAA reveals that apart from the four color variants that were unveiled, the Redmi K30 5G in Black and Green colors.
