Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is now available in a new Inverse Scale variant

Just yesterday, Xiaomi teased on a new Inverse Scale color option for the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition smartphone. Now, the new variant has been officially announced in the Chinese market at a price of 2,699 Yuan (US$415) for it’s 12GB+256GB model.

The new Inverse Scale variant has a Black colored paintjob at the back with a glittery finish. The LED lights enclosing it’s rear camera module also has a Red colored accent to it as well.

Aside from the difference in it’s external paintjob, the rest of it’s specs remain consistence with any other Redmi K40 Gaming Edition models which we currently have in the market.

Redmi K40 Gaming Edition Specifications

The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition features a 6.67” AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution that’s topped with a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate.

In the camera department, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition relies on a triple-camera system at the back which is lead by a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera. This will be accompanied by a 16 megapixels shooter upfront for selfie and video-calling purposes.

Under the hood, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset which will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage.

To keep it’s lights on, the phone is expected to be fitted with a massive 5,065mAh battery which carries support for 67W fast-charging that’s capable of delivering a full charge from 0 to 100% within a short span of just 42 minutes.
