Redmi K40 Ultra Key Specifications Leaked, Likely to Rival OnePlus Nord 2

Last year, Xiaomi announced the Redmi K30 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra smartphones in Q3 last year. While the company unveiled the Mi 11 Ultra as the successor for the Mi 10 Ultra earlier this year, it has not unleashed a sequel for the K30 Ultra. Fresh leaks that have appeared now have revealed key details of the K40 Ultra.

The Xiaomiui Telegram channel has claimed that Redmi is working on a smartphone that is powered by the Dimensity 1200 chipset. The leak claims that the device is codenamed as Agate/Amber, and it is likely to arrive in the market as the Redmi K40 Ultra. It is expected to rival the OnePlus Nord 2, which is rumored to be equipped with Dimensity 1200 chip.

Earlier today, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared leaked specs of an upcoming Xiaomi phone powered by the MT689x chip. Since the Dimensity 1200 chipset has an MT6893 model number, it seems that the tipster may have leaked information about the Redmi K40 Ultra.

The leak reveals that the smartphone features a 120Hz refresh rate display, a 64-megapixel primary camera, and a battery of around 5,000mAh capacity, which may carry support for 67W rapid charging. The other details of the smartphone are under wraps.

The OnePlus Nord 2 is expected to debut towards the end of the month. Probably, the K40 Ultra could be debuting in August as its predecessor model was announced in the same month last year. To recollect, the K30 Ultra offered specs like a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 1000+ chip, a 20-megapixel pop-up camera, 64-megapixel triple cameras, and a 4,500mAh battery with 33W rapid charging.
