Last month, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi announced the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition smartphone. Today, the company took to its Weibo platform to confirm that it will be announcing the K50 flagship series of smartphones in the coming week.
Redmi confirmed that it will be holding a launch event at 7 PM (local time) on March 17 in China to announce the K50 series of smartphones. Based on recent reports, it can be said that the Chinese manufacturer may announce three models, such as the Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Pro+.
The poster shows that the Redmi K50 series phone’s rear-facing camera module will include a 108-megapixel triple camera unit. The company is yet to confirm the other details of the Redmi K50 lineup.
Redmi K50 Series Specifications (Rumored)
Recently, three new Xiaomi phones with model numbers 22021211RC, 22041211AC, and 22011211C were certified by the Chinese certification platforms such as 3C and TENAA. These phones are expected to launch as the Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Pro+.
The Redmi K50 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 870 SoC. It is likely to arrive in three variants such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage.
The Redmi K50 Pro is likely to be fueled by the Dimensity 8100 chipset. It may come with options such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The K50 and K50 Pro are expected to come with 67W fast charging support.
The Redmi K50 Pro+ will be driven by the Dimensity 9000 chipset. It is likely to arrive with options such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. The K50 Pro+ will have support for 120W fast charging.
