Redmi K70 Ultra’s OLED screen to support 1.5K resolution

Redmi could be planning to expand its Redmi K70 series lineup in the Chinese market. In November 2023, the brand unveiled three devices: the Redmi K70e, the Redmi K70, and the Redmi K70 Pro. According to reports, the company could be working on the K70 Ultra, which could be positioned above the Pro model. Here is a look at the new details that have emerged about the Ultra model.

According to a Chinese leaker, the Redmi K70 Ultra will feature a flat display that offers a 1.5K resolution. While the leaker did not mention anything else about the display, it seems that the device will have an OLED screen integrated with a fingerprint sensor. The screen could be equipped with a dedicated chip for optimized gaming performance.

Both the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets power the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro, respectively. On the other hand, the K70 Ultra may feature a Dimensity 9300. It is the same chip that powers the likes of the Vivo X100 series and the Find X7.

The leaker claims that the K70 Ultra will have a right-angled metal middle frame, which means it will be a durable device. In addition, it is expected to offer IP68-rated dust and water resistance, like the K60 Ultra from last year.

The K70 Ultra is also expected to impress in departments like photography, battery size, and charging speed. However, these details are not available yet. There is a possibility that the device may launch in the first half of this year.
