MediaTek is expected to announce the Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset on March 11. Following the announcement, multiple brands, such as Oppo, Vivo, iQOO, and Redmi, are expected to launch D9400+ powered smartphones. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station released a Weibo post to share key details about the design enhancements of the Redmi K80 Ultra, which is believed to debut as one of the first phones powered by the D9400+ chip.
Redmi K80 Ultra design details tipped

According to DCS, the Redmi K80 Ultra’s display will have a four-sided narrow bezel design with large, rounded corners. However, it won’t be a perfectly symmetrical display in terms of physical dimensions, as it focuses on achieving a balanced visual appearance rather than precise equal bezels.
The K80 Ultra will also arrive with audio enhancements as it is tipped to feature a coaxial symmetrical dual-speaker setup. Unlike some previous Redmi models with speakers positioned on the same side, this arrangement ensures better stereo separation and a richer sound output.
For enhanced haptic feedback, the K80 Ultra will feature a custom-tuned version of the 0916 vibration motor. Its inclusion is expected to offer a more refined experience in daily usage, including typing and gaming. The overall craftsmanship of the K80 Ultra has also reportedly improved, suggesting a more premium feel compared to its predecessors. A previous report revealed that the device will have a round camera module like the existing K80 series models.
Additionally, reports indicate that a compact Redmi tablet featuring an 8.8-inch high-resolution LCD panel and a Dimensity 9400 chipset will launch alongside the K80 Ultra. These devices are expected to launch in the first half of this year in China.
