Redmi K90 series design details tipped

In a recent leak, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed fresh details about an upcoming Redmi device, which appears to be one of the Redmi K90 series phones. While the brand hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet, the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro will be unveiled in October or November this year. The new leak spills details about the Redmi K90 series’ design and hardware enhancements.

The tipster claimed that while it’s already known that the Redmi K90 series will feature a flat display in two size options and a large rectangular camera module, there’s more to the design. The new flagship will use a premium unibody cold-carving (cold-sculpting) technique, which gives the device a highly refined texture and structural precision.

Each camera lens will be circular, debunking earlier rumors that suggested a square lens layout. Additionally, the camera module will include a newly co-branded logo, hinting at a possible collaboration. The periscope telephoto lens is said to offer impressive zoom capabilities, targeting the same level of performance seen in Apple’s flagship phones.

According to reports, the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro are expected to ship with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series processors and feature 2K OLED flat displays. Camera hardware includes a 50-megapixel main sensor and a periscope telephoto lens. The devices are also said to be equipped with other features, such as an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, IP68 dust and water resistance, and a 7,000mAh+ battery with 100W fast charging.

Like the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro, the K90 series is expected to remain exclusive to the Chinese market. Globally, these devices are expected to get rebranded as the Poco F8 and F8 Pro next year.
