Earlier today, Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the upcoming Redmi Note 8 will be driven by the Snapdragon 665 SoC, instead of the Helio G90 SoC which was initially rumored.
Now, the company has brought in another piece of missing puzzle and that is – the Redmi Note 8 will feature a 48 megapixels quad-camera setup on it’s rear chassis. This was officially confirmed via an official teaser disseminated on Chinese Weibo.
Seen from the teaser, the Redmi Note 8 also sports a different design language from it’s Pro sibling as we could see that it’s camera module has been shifted to the top-left corner instead. On it’s back panel, there remains a centralized fingerprint sensor towards the top-halve of the device.
This design is exactly similar to the recent Redmi smartphone which had been certified by the FCC. If that’s the case, then the Redmi Note 8 will be maintaining a waterdrop-notch design on it’s front panel.
Besides revealing a couple of the device’s live images, the FCC’s listing also shows two different memory configurations with 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB respectively.
What remains a mystery now is whether the Redmi Note 8 will arrive with some interesting gaming-centric features including the liquid-cooling system which could be found in the Note 8 Pro.
As a quick recap, we’re just three days away from the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro’s official unveiling which will be held in China on August 29th.
