The Redmi Note 9 series have gone official in India. The lineup includes the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. The Chinese firm did not announce a phone with Redmi Note 9 moniker. Probably, it may go official on a later. The Note 9 and Note 9 Pro Max have some common specs, but the Max model comes with some differing features like better main camera, larger battery and faster wired charging supporting and more.
Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max Specifications
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is equipped with a glass body and a full HD+ resolution supporting Dot Display of 6.67 inches. The Pro model also features the same-sized screen. The Snapdragon 720G processor is present under the hood of the Note 9 Pro series. The duo ships with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. There is a dedicated microSD card slot onboard for additional storage.
The MIUI 11 based Android 10 OS runs on the Note 9 Pro and Pro Mx models. They are equipped with 5,020mAh batteries. The Pro supports 18W fast charging whereas the Pro Max comes with a 33W rapid charger.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro sports a 16-megapixel front-facing camera the Pro Max has a frontal shooter of 32-megapixel. The square-shaped camera setup on the backside of the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Pro Max. The latter has a 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 main lens while the Note 9 Pro has a 48-megapixel Samsung GM2 primary shooter. The other three rear-facing cameras of both phones are 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with 119-degree field-of-view, 5-megapixel macro lens with 2cm focal length and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and IR blaster. The usual connectivity features like dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NavIC (India’s navigation system), GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C and 3.mm audio jack. These features are also there on the Note 9 Pro Max model. There is Z-axis vibrator motor offer accurate haptic feedback on both phones.
Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Price and Availability
The Redmi Note 9 Pro such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage at Rs 12,999 and Rs. 15,999, respectively. Its sales will start on March 17 in India.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max variants like 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variants cost Rs. 14,999, Rs. 16999 and Rs. 18,999, respectively. It will go on sale in India on March 25. Both phones come in Aurora Blue, Glacier White and Interstellar Black color editions.
