Redmi Turbo 3 starts well: Smashes industry records in debut sale

Last week, Redmi announced the Redmi Turbo 3 in China. Today, the device was made available for purchase for the first time. Soon after it went on sale, the company confirmed that the Turbo 3, a top seller within the 2,000 Yuan ($275) to 3,000 Yuan ($415) price range, made its debut in the Chinese market with a remarkable achievement. Within just 30 minutes of its initial sale, it shattered the industry’s first-week sales record for 2024 Here’s a look at the specifications and price of the device.

The Redmi Turbo 3 features a 6.67-inch TCL C8 OLED display with a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels, offering a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 2,400 nits. It boasts 1920Hz PWM dimming, 12-bit color depth, and support for wet hands.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and equipped with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, it ensures smooth performance. The device houses a 5,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.

For photography, it sports a 20MP Omnivision OV20B front camera and a rear setup comprising a 50MP primary camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. It runs on Android 14 with HyperOS, offering air gestures support.

Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, an IR blaster, an x-axis linear motor, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4. Despite its sleek 7.8mm profile and 179 grams weight, it maintains an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance.

These include options like 12GB+256GB, priced at around 1,999 Yuan ($275), or 12GB+512GB storage for 2,299 Yuan ($320). For those seeking even higher performance, there’s a variant with 16GB+512GB storage, priced at 2,499 Yuan ($345), or a massive 16GB+1TB option for 2,799 Yuan ($385). It comes in three colors: Black Crystal, Green Blade, and Ice Titanium.
