On Nov. 26, Redmi will take off covers from the Redmi Note 9 5G series. The lineup has three phones such as the Redmi Note 9 5G, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, and a 4G model. The official landing page of the Note 9 5G series reveals that there will be three highlights of the Note 9 5G’s launch event. First, the arrival of the Note 9 series and second would be the Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing will do sort of a talk show. Lastly, the company will announce new Redmi branded smart products at the event. Hence, it is likely that the Redmi Watch may go official at the same event.
In September, the Redmi Watch cleared China’s MIIT certification, which indicated that it may debut soon in the home market. Earlier this month, Lu Weibing teased the arrival of the Redmi Watch through a Weibo post that read. “How do you feel about the first Redmi Watch? Looking forward to the Redmi Watch?” Hence, it appears that at least one of the Redmi smart products to go official at the Nov. 26 launch event could be the Redmi Watch.
At present, nothing much is known about the specifications of the Redmi Watch. The MIIT certification only revealed that it has a model number of REDMITW01. A variant of the smartwatch with model number REDMITW02 was spotted at UL (Demko) certification in September. The listing revealed that the device has a Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite moniker. This indicates that the Redmi Watch could be rebadged as the Mi Watch Lite outside of China.
Interestingly, a render of the Mi Watch Lite along with its features was spotted at the FCC database last month. The listing revealed that it has a 1.4-inch square-shaped touch display with an auto-brightness feature. It has a 230mAh battery with 5W charging support.
The smartwatch will offer users numerous fitness modes and 24-hour heart rate tracking. Other features of the device include built-in standalone GPS, 50ATM water-resistance, and Bluetooth 5.1. The Redmi Watch is expected to debut with all these features.
