Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho with Exynos 850 chipset goes official

Samsung has quietly officially announced a new entry-level smartphone known as the Galaxy A12 Nacho in the European market which is pretty much the same phone as the Galaxy A12, except it comes with a different chipset as the latter.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho comes with a 6.5” LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution topped with 60Hz refresh rate. Just like most of Samsung’s entry-level smartphone, the phone adopts an Infinity-V design to accommodate it’s 8 megapixels front-facing camera.

On the flip-side, the Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho boasts a squarish camera module which houses a quad-camera system that includes a 48 megapixels main camera, 5 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.

Unlike the Galaxy A12, the new variant is powered by an octa-core Exynos 850 chipset instead of the MediaTek Helio P35 chip. This will be paired with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded by up to 1TB via a microSD card.

To keep it’s lights on, the Galaxy A12 Nacho draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support. On the software-side, the phone boots on One UI 3.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.

For those who’re interested, the Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho is available in a trio of color options including Blue, Black and White. In the Russian market, it carries a starting price of RUB10,990 (US$150) for it’s 32GB storage variant.
