Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will be priced at 369 Euros; more specs revealed

Earlier this week, Samsung had officially announced the company’s most affordable 5G smartphone – Galaxy A42 5G. However, most of the details pertaining to its key specs and pricing were not disclosed.

Now, thanks to a press released published by Samsung Germany, we now have more information on this highly anticipated handset. Most importantly, the Galaxy A42 5G will be made available in the European market in November at an off-contract price of 369 Euros (US$437/ S$597).

On top of that, it also confirmed that the four cameras at the back will be consisting of a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide, 5 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 5 megapixels depth sensor. This will be rounded up by a 20 megapixels selfie camera at the front.

At the front, the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G features a 6.6-inches Super AMOLED display which employs a dewdrop-notch design. It boasts a FHD+ screen resolution, and carries support for an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The device will be helmed by a massive 5,000mAh battery with fast-charging support. Although Samsung has yet to reveal its underlying chipset, but earlier reports suggest that the Galaxy A42 5G is likely to be powered by the new Snapdragon 690 SoC.
