Samsung Singapore has announced a new mid-range smartphone in the local market known as the Galaxy A52s 5G that arrives with some decent upgrades over the March-announced Galaxy A52 5G.
The Galaxy A52s 5G sports a 6.5” Super AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, in-display fingerprint scanner, as well as a 32 megapixels selfie camera housed within it’s central hole-punch cutout.
On the flip-side, the Galaxy A52s 5G retains the same quad-camera setup as the Galaxy A52 5G. This means we’ll be getting a familiar 64 megapixels, 12 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 5 megapixels depth sensor, as well as 5 megapixels depth sensor.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A52s 5G swaps the A52 5G’s Snapdragon 750G chipset with a slightly more powerful Snapdragon 778G chipset, and offers up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.
To keep the phone running through the day, it relies on a respectable 4,500mAh battery that comes with 25W fast-charging support. Other than that, the phone also comes with NFC support, One UI 3.1 (based on Android 11), as well as IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.
For those who’re interested, the Samsung Galaxy A52s will be available in four different colorways including Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Violet and Awesome Mint.
In Singapore, the phone will be available for purchase at S$548 and S$648 respectively for it’s 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB models.
