It was revealed through a South Korean publication in September that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A72 5G has a total of six cameras. It was expected to feature a selfie camera and a penta-lens setup. However, a fresh leak reveals that the phone will be arriving with a quad camera setup.
A tweet by leakster Chun suggests that Samsung may have initially planned to offer five rear-facing cameras on the Galaxy A72 5G. However, it appears that the company opted for a quad-camera setup on the final edition of the Galaxy A72 5G.

It was reported in September that the Galaxy A72 5G will be equipped with a primary camera of 64-megapixel, an ultrawide lens of 12-megapixel, a telephoto sensor of 8-mgeapixel, a macro lens of 5-megapixel, and a depth assist sensor of 5-megapixel. The leakster has not confirmed which of the above-mentioned cameras will not available on the A72 5G. Probably, the company may not offer a macro or a depth sensor on the A72 5G.
The Galaxy A72 5G will be succeeding the Galaxy A71 5G that debuted earlier this year. Its quad camera setup featured a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megaixel ultrawide sensor, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. At present, there is no information available on the other specs of the Galaxy A72 5G.
In related news, reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer has released the CAD renders of the Galaxy A52 5G, which will succeed the Galaxy A51 5G. While there is no information on the specs of the A52 5G, its renders have revealed that its design will not be very different from its predecessor.
