Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 might not be launched during the upcoming Unpacked event after all

Although earlier reports have suggested that the much awaited Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 could be unveiled during the upcoming Unpacked event, but the latest development seems to suggest otherwise.

According to well-accredited tipster Max Weinbach from XDA-Developers, the Galaxy Fold 2 will not be announced during the August 5th launch event. He further noted that the Galaxy Fold 2 isn’t even close to a September launch.

Some of the reasons attributed for the delay is due to the software issues of the device according to Max Weinbach. More specifically, Samsung has yet to finalize the device’s firmware and carry out all the necessary carrier compatibility tests.

On the brighter side, we might be able to see a teaser as well as perhaps a tentative launch date of the Galaxy Fold 2 during the Unpacked event.

Even if the Galaxy Fold 2 is omitted from the Unpacked event, we can still look forward to the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Watch 3 during the event.
