Samsung Galaxy M22 appears on Geekbench with MediaTek Helio G80 chipset

An upcoming Samsung smartphone bearing the model number SM-M225FV has appeared on Geekbench along with some of it’s crucial specs. Based on it’s model number alone, it is likely that the phone will eventually be launched as the Samsung Galaxy M22 smartphone.

According to it’s Geekbench listing, the Galaxy M22 will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 chipset – just like the upcoming Galaxy A22 smartphone which will reportedly be heading to the Asian markets.

This somehow reaffirms earlier rumors that the Galaxy M22 will be a rebranded model of the Galaxy A22 with perhaps some minor differences in terms of it’s available color options and battery capacity.

As such, we can expect the Galaxy M22 to come with the same 6.4” Infinity-V AMOLED display upfront that features a HD+ screen resolution and a 13 megapixels selfie camera.

In the imaging department, the Galaxy M22 is expected to arrive with a quad-camera system which is said to include a 48 megapixels main camera, 5 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a pair of 2 megapixels auxiliary cameras.

Other than that, the device is also likely to be fitted with a 6,000mAh battery under the hood that comes with 15W fast-charging support. For those who’re interested, the phone is tipped to be launched in a trio of colors including Black, Blue and White. It will also reportedly be priced at around €230 in the European markets.
