At the beginning of this year, Samsung announced the Galaxy S10 Lite smartphone. It arrived as the weaker version of the Galaxy S10 flagship phone from last year. The South Korean company launched it so that it could make some of the key specs of S10 flagship at a cheaper price. Rumors have it that the company is working on a lighter version of Galaxy S20 that will succeed the Galaxy S10 Lite. However, this device is unlikely to be called Galaxy S20 Lite. Instead, it is expected to debut as Galaxy S20 Fan Edition.
Reliable tipster @IceUniverse has shared some of the key specifications of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition. He revealed that the phone will debut with an attractive price in the fourth quarter of the year.
The tipster revealed that the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will be arriving with a punch-hole display. The leakster mentioned the size of the phone is 3.3mm. The screen will carry support for up to 120Hz refresh rate. Also, it will be an IP68 rated dustproof and water-resistant device.
Recently, the handset was spotted on Geekbench benchmarking platform with model number SM-G781B. According to Sammobile, its global edition that supports 4G LTE networks has SM-G780 model number whereas the U.S. variant with 5G support has SM-G781 model number. The predecessor S10 Lite had SM-G770 model number.
The publication revealed that the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will run on One UI 2.5 based Android 10 OS. It will offer users with an internal storage of 128 GB. The phone may arrive in 6 GB and 8 GB RAM variants.
